Why will 2G and 3G networks be shut down

With mobile networks evolving rapidly, Swedish operators have decided to gradually shut down both 2G and 3G networks. The aim is to free up capacity for newer and more efficient technologies such as 4G and 5G.

What does this mean for you as a customer?

Do you use a GPS device that communicates via 2G or 3G? Then you are directly affected. After 2027, these devices will no longer be able to connect, as the networks will be completely shut down.
