Hur kan vi veta var varje verktyg eller maskin befinner sig i realtid?

NorthTracker har olika lösningar beroende på om det är ett verktyg du ska spåra eller en maskin. För verktyg har vi en enhet kallad “Beacon” – en BLE puck som kopplas tillsammans med en GPS eller mobiltelefonen. Om du ska spåra en maskin rekommenderar vi att välja en traditionell GPS istället.

Vad är skillnaden mellan GPS-, RFID-, QR- och streckkodslösningar?

GPS-teknik behöver inte internetuppkoppling, då den använder satelliter för positionering, men det kräver en internetuppkoppling för att skicka positionerna till din app. RFID kan lagra information som scannas av en maskin men kan inte spåras positionellt. QR-koder scannas med en mobil enhet eller läsare för att ta emot information. Streckkoder nämndes inte i den angivna texten.

Hur ofta behöver en tagg eller tracker bytas ut eller laddas?

NorthTrackers taggar för utrustningskontroll/verktygsspårning har inbyggt batteri med upp till 3 år. När batteriet är slut behöver du byta enhet. NorthTrackers GPS-tracker Scout 2.0 har eget batteri med livslängd upp till 5 år. När batterierna är slut beställer du nya i webshopen.

Hur fungerar spårning inomhus där GPS-signalen är svag?

GPS-signalen påverkas av omgivningen och byggnadsmaterial. Exempelvis kan plåttak störa en korrekt GPS-position.

Hur kan vi hålla koll på vem som lånat vilket verktyg?

Om du har en elektronisk körjournal installerad i företagets samtliga bilar så kommer du kunna se vem som lånade verktyget sist, och följa var den senast var sedd. Om ett verktyg inte lämnar byggarbetsplatsen i en bil så kommer man kunna spåra upp var verktyget befinner sig – men inte vem som lånade det sist.

Går det att automatiskt registrera ut- och incheckning utan manuell inmatning?

NorthTrackers verktygsspårning registrerar vem som senast haft verktyget i sin bil och var det senast sågs.

Hur kan vi snabbt inventera alla verktyg utan att gå igenom varje enskilt förråd?

Genom att använda kartvyn kan du direkt se den exakta platsen för alla verktyg.

Finns det sätt att förhindra att utrustning glöms bort på byggarbetsplatser eller i fordon?

Ja, genom att placera en NorthTracker Beacon på varje viktig utrustning och ha en elektronisk körjournal i anställdas bilar kan du se var utrustningen senast befann sig. Detta hjälper till att minimera förlust av föremål som byggstegar och släpvagnar.

Är det möjligt att spåra stulet material även om trackern försöks att tas bort?

Nej, om GPS-trackern tas bort kommer spårningen inte att fungera. Det är viktigt att gömma enheten väl.

Hur kan vi se historik över var utrustningen har varit och när?

Ja, detta är möjligt men kräver att alla anställda även har en elektronisk körjournal. Detta gör att du kan se de platser utrustningen har varit på och dess senaste position.

Kan spårningssystemet kopplas till vårt befintliga affärssystem?

De har integrationer med vissa arbetsordersystem. Om de inte har en integration för ditt system kan du alltid exportera CSV-rapporter för enkel import. Du bör kontakta NorthTracker-support för att kontrollera om de har ditt specifika affärssystem.

NorthTracker has different solutions depending on whether you are tracking a tool or a machine. For tools we have a device called "Beacon" - a BLE puck that connects to a GPS or mobile phone. If you are tracking a machine, we recommend choosing a traditional GPS instead.

GPS-This technology does not require an internet connection, but instead uses satellites to find positions. However, to send the positions to your app, you need an internet connection!

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) cannot be tracked purely by position but can store information that is then scanned by a machine. Example access cards are often based on RFID or NFC technology.

QR-A QR code is a code you scan with your mobile phone or reader to receive information. For example, a QR code can be placed on a machine and then scanned by each employee who uses the machine. This way you can see who used the machine last.

NorthTracker's equipment control/tool tracking tags have a built-in battery that lasts up to 3 years. When the battery runs out, you need to replace the unit.

NorthTracker's Scout 2.0 GPS tracker has its own battery with a lifespan of up to 5 years. When the batteries run out, order new ones in the webshop.

The GPS signal is affected depending on the environment and the building material. For example, we have seen that tin roofs often cause problems in terms of correct GPS position.

If you have installed a logbook in all your company cars, you will be able to see who borrowed the tool last, and track where it was last seen. If the tool does not leave the construction site in a car, you will be able to track where the tool is - but not who borrowed it last.

No, it won't. If the GPS tracker has been removed, tracking will not work. Therefore it is important to hide the device well.

Yes, and it requires that all employees also have an electronic logbook. This way we can see where the equipment has been and also its last position.

In order to track tools that are rented to external contractors, it is necessary that these contractors also use NorthTracker's electronic logbook. It is the logbook that is connected to the BLE puck (Beacon) and then we can get the latest position where the tool is located.
