This is how anti-theft protection works

Once you activate both the device and the subscription from NorthTracker, you are protected. The theft protection works so that if the device were to leave a security zone, an alarm will be sent via e-mail, push notification and SMS. This allows you to act quickly and contact both the police and the insurance company in the event of a theft. The tracking service works throughout Europe and has helped the police several times to both catch the thieves and recover the stolen goods.

Transmission interval

NorthTracker Scout 2.0 transmits two positions per day. Between the intervals, it is in deep sleep and therefore cannot be scanned and found by thieves. If the GPS transmitter leaves a zone, it sends 6 times per day to make it possible to easily set it to a more frequent transmission interval. This solution has proven to be very effective as it gives the thief a false sense of security while giving you plenty of time to find your property.
