In the app or on the web, you can verify reception by checking whether the position updates continuously. If it does, there is coverage; otherwise, there is no signal. Double-check the operating mode for Scout devices.
Make sure the alarm recipient has all details correctly filled in and has access to the device you want to receive alarms from.
Double-check that you have SMS credits remaining. You can purchase more in the webshop.
Make sure the security zone is activated.
Check that the main alarm switch is not activated (when it is active, no alarms are sent from the device).
Check your update interval. The device only triggers an alarm when a GPS signal is sent and the device is outside the zone.

If you are logged into the app on your phone and have Bluetooth enabled, the sensor will send directly to the app instead of to your Machine Connect, and no alarms will be sent. This prevents unnecessary alarms if you forget to turn them off.
Restart the device by disconnecting it and leaving it unplugged for 30 minutes.
Disconnect the device and install it in another vehicle. Take a test drive and check how it responds.
Some vehicles have interiors that interfere with the GPS signal. In such cases, we recommend replacing the GPS device with a Machine Easy. Example vehicles: BMW 7 Series and IX.
Go to the account menu and check the permissions for the affected user. If a user does not have permission, the device will not be visible.
If you park in a garage or in an area with poor GPS reception, the last position may not be transmitted. This usually resolves itself once you drive out of the garage and the device regains signal.
