A security zone is a virtual fence that you mark out on a map, so you get an alert if the tracker leaves the zone. You can register up to five different zones per GPS.
The alert is sent by text message and/or email. You specify the recipients under “Alert recipients”. You also get push notices via the app.
You can do this yourself – it’s easy. State the imei number and address, and we will send the correct batteries right away.
To save battery capacity, and to avoid scanning, Scout transmits its position once every 24 hours. During a position update, it checks the security zones you have specified, and if one of these is broken, the alert is triggered and it switches to one-hour tracking, which you can make more frequent if you wish. Remember that the shorter the interval, the more quickly the battery discharges. Example: If your tracker is stolen at 3 am and the tracker updates at 5 am, the alert will be sent just after 5 am. This means that if a Scout (set to 24 hour intervals) is moved to outside a zone but is returned during the same interval, no alert will be sent.
No, just one red and one black cable to +/- 8-24V.

Yes, the port is located underneath the steering wheel of your car. It is the same port that your mechanic uses.
If the tracker is removed, the alert is triggered. This is because in order to deliver a correct logbook, the tracker must be installed.
